The Center of Special Education, Research and Practice (ÖZEAUM) provides special education support to children with disabilities and special needs and their families with academicians and students of special education department. ÖZEAUM was established in the academic year 1980-1981 under the name of Special Education Department within the organization of the Faculty of Education of Ankara University by the instructors of the Special Education Department to offer special education support to children with disabilities and special needs and their families and to provide an environment for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate students to observe and practice in special education. Since 2004, it has been serving as a Center of Special Education, Research and Practice.
